In my early Remembering Home series, Killara Home, I set out to capture the spirit of my grandparents’ house, a place that offered warmth and support for over 30 years. Through my photographs, I sought to preserve its layered memories: the way light touched familiar objects, the quiet absence of people, and the nostalgia lingering in every corner.
The house, both lived in and frozen in time, felt like a treasure chest from another era, soon to be lost. Photography became my way of holding on.
Over time, I’ve been invited to continue this work for others, photographing family homes, ancestral properties, and creative studios that carry deep personal and emotional significance. Each space holds its own history, a reflection of the lives lived within its walls.
My goal is to create images that honour those stories, whether of an artist’s workspace filled with creative energy, or a family home steeped in generations of memory.
If you have a cherished home, family space, or studio that you’d like to preserve through photography, I’d love to help capture its story.
